Me & Scrammy...

Went for a ride yesterday (7/3/15) and uploaded the video last night. It starts off a little slow, but then you get some nice long turns around two reservoirs. Then about halfway through begins some sharp twisties. And finally at the end is some city riding with lane filtering.

Gotta go and see if I can get in another ride today.;)

Do you record all your riding, or just some of it?

I bet if you record your riding all the time you would be bound to capture something exciting eventually. Not that watching you ride isn't exciting in itself.

my neighbor put his gopro on his brothers do, and then it ran away. hasn't been found since...2 weeks now! crazy huh?
I like where ever you're riding because it looks different than here, but I'm glad I don't live somewhere busy enough to need lane splitting because I hate cars when I'm riding a motorcycle.

Even the rural spots looked like there was enough people driving around that I'd get annoyed :)
Do you have the race Termi exhaust? Sounds really great, and I'm on the fence of buying it straight off (pending delivery in "August").

You can barely hear the engine in the riding videos I've seen. Most people have speaking microphones in their helmet I guess. Nice to actually hear the bike running when it's not parked.

Wow, you either watched the whole video or at least skipped around, I'm impressed.

It was the day before the fourth of July so even in the rural looking areas it was a bit more crowded than usual. I'm looking at new places to ride but that will mean increasing my ride lengths from 1-2 hours to 2-4 hours. Hope my ass holds up.

For the first few weeks I didn't do any lane splitting. I didn't think it would fit my laid back type of personality. But I have to admit, it's pretty fun to be able to move through traffic when everyone else is stuck - bumper to bumper. Urban riding is almost as much fun as riding in the twisties. I spend very little time on the freeway though. It's not what the bike was designed for and I get little enjoyment from it.

Yes, I have the race Termi with db killer removed. It definitely helps to have the microphone at chest level as opposed to in the helmet if you want to hear the engine's exhaust.

I'm going to give the advice I always give and that is to wait until you get your bike before purchasing an exhaust system. First of all, $1500 is a lot of money and probably the most expensive mod you make to the bike if you choose to do so. Secondly, the bike sounds pretty good in stock form and unless you find it hideous looking (like myself), it may be all that you need.
typically to embed youtube, just get rid of the s in https

great vid BTW!
I was wondering how in the **** you did that! I tried every BB code I could think of and couldn't get it to work.

Cool, thanks. I read somebody's dealer suggested they wait till the 600 mile service to swap it and reflash the ECU after the initial break-in. That might be a good test for living with it.

I haven't heard the Termi in person. I just know that I get really tired of listening to my friend's flat track and British Customs pipes when I'm riding their Bonnevilles. It's fun in town, but out on the highway it's slow torture.
Patience is key.

Fortunately with a bike that's becoming common enough, if you do happen to buy something you don't see as much of a need for as you once did... finding a local buyer shouldn't be too hard. Beats having to do shipping and all.
