Maybe the Scrambler will actually be an ADV type bike? ADV riding seems to be the next big trend as retro/cafe is begging to taper off. KTM just announced they will be doing an ADV bike based off the Duke and it got me thinking that perhaps this is just the type of bike Ducati needs in its lineup. It would certainly attract a new type of clientele...

I think it would be cool if Ducati came out with a bike like this, but I don't think that this is what the Scrambler will turn into. I'm sure people would be excited about it if Ducati announced something like this.

I don't think that the Scrambler is going to be an adventure bike. I don't think that is what anyone is expecting anyway.

I don't think of a Scrambler as a bike with a fascia or windscreen. Ducati should make the Scrambler as basic as possible so that people can customize (and that would be great for Ducati profits too).

well scramblers kinda were the first ADV's.... in essence...

I honestly think the Scrambler is going to be based off either the multistrada or the hyper motard, just toned down obviously... probably abit more retro. Look at the NineT to the R1200R and you'll see what I mean...

the r1200r is already their adv bike

the scrambler is sort of an adventure bike like the 1200

just smaller, lighter, cheaper, less power.
you're thinking of the R1200GS which is the ADV, the R1200R is a sporty naked

I got the Hyperstrada/Motard idea from JVB who used the Strada as the basis for their JVB scramblers...
