Those of you with a UK 8X6 plate on your bike, I know the holder needs to be trimmed at the bottom if you use an 8X6 plate but what about a 7x6 plate? Ok I could use a 7X5.5 and cut a bit more off at bottom but was wondering on the width of the plate holder. Would it need trimming if you use a plate 7 inch wide?

I was able to choose a reg today though no news on bike yet. Just want to get a plate made as have no control over the build time and I need some control

Ok so could someone please measure the distance between the edge to edge of the plate holder as indicated on red line. I have imported a bunch of plate sizes in Cad software and want to get bike size right as i import it and then see what plates look like on bike

Tony its 175mm edge to edge with a standard tape measure.

7 inch equates to 177.8mm so just fits
