Would it be possible to install a kick start on the scrambler? I know it's kind of a random question but I've never looked into this before and I always find it a blessing in case the battery dies or electrical problem occur to have a manual starting system - especially on long journeys.

No. You could likely push it start however which I've had to do before on a Monster with a weak battery.

All 6 of my Yamahas. I think some 80's dukes like Pantah may have had

My beloved 1980 Yamaha IT 175 was a kick starter.
