I am very surprised, a bike mad nation like the Italians and the first sports bike is the BMW S1000RR coming it at number 37?

Italy is first fashion country, therefore BMW R 1200 GS rulez.... 1st and 3rd place with same bike (std + ADv), look that numbers

If its anything like autos its deliveries... And Feb would of only been a partial month for that...

May/June numbers will probably be indicative of the picture moving forward...

It is, but there may also be games embedded. the Auto companies do it all the time, book dealer demo's and press cars as 'delivered' and it gooses the number upward. I'm not saying it is the case, but there are certainly alot of press bikes and demo bikes that need to 'count' for something...

Good point Bestia, but the demo bikes were delivered to UK dealers in January, not February, and I would have expected them to be delivered earlier rather than later to Italian dealers. In fact if you do a bit of research on the original link you can find the figures for January, which show 29 Scramblers delivered. I suspect that these would have been most, if not all, of the demo bikes.

the first bikes in Italy were delivered to owner the last week in february, you can see pics of bikes ready in one of my post, the demo bikes were at dealers' showrooms on january around 9th
