on march 10th, as soon as their online shop put them availble, I have ordered and paid.... the bobins for the rear stand.... 15 day later, having no news I mailed them asking to be updated abt my order status.

I'm really dissaponted because they told me the items was in "back order" despite no advice was, and still is not (!!!), on the shop....

furthermore.... is not a real back order, because the item switched from "register interest" to "put on basket"....

yesterday and the day before, I mailed again, no reply from them expcet the "automated msg syst..."

almost 30 days....

be aware, before order items for your Scramble (most probably they are all still under production) ask for real availability!!

Thats not good. How are you lubing the chain with out the bobbins?

I usually lube it every 500 or 1000 km, depends how many dirty/rainy the roads was.

without bobins, I'll have to push the bike forward......

Iìve the paddock stand with fork for bobins and rubber pads for standard swingers, unfortunately the scrambler has a "curved" swingarm and the space under the chain tieghter is not enough to safely lift the bike, moreover if you are alone in the box...

I emailed them about their tail tidy and got a reply saying they won't be ready until around May time which is crap also. I'm thinking about getting the evotech tail tidy instead. It's not hard to do a spot of forward thinking if your a big company like R&G

But it's fairly tricky if you haven't got a bike to work on!


While they've made a **** up by taking orders without telling people stuff isn't ready they do need to get a bike to build the prototypes on, model everything, tool up etc etc. Remember, Ducati are still getting the original order bikes out, these guys haven't had a long time and the fact that they're a big company, in this case, works against them. A one man band would get this done in double quick time, with big companies and committees etc things take a little longer. Give them a break, they'll get there.

This is why I favor the idea of companies like Ducati giving aftermarket a head start on working on products, give them a model to work on, have them sign off on some agreement, in the end you have happier customers.

they produce several bobbins.... just check the inside diameter of wheel axe and use an expandible bolt..... I could do it my way....

This is odd. R&G bobbins like you purchased are on ebay with delivery for next monday so why you do not have yours yet makes no sense. They have been on ebay quite a while now

Then I checked the items page, it still said more than 10 available and it is still that way today. This happened more than 2 weeks ago.

Unfortunately we are currently out of stock of this part having completely sold out our first and second production runs, however more are rolling off the production line early next week and i'll make sure your order is forfilled from that. Sorry once again for the delay to your order.

If it is not in stock they should not show it as in stock, too lazy to update website?

Maybe they don't want to lose customers to Evotech or other brands while they are out of stock so they just sell you products they don't have. Then tell you that it's actually sold out but they will send it to you when in stock. Some people will cancel their orders but some won't so they'll still be making money while waiting for the production. Or maybe I'm just thinking dirty.

I just wrote to Evotech abt their bobin availablity, and accordingly their answer I will cancel the order to R&G.

I can understand whether they only collect orders.... but they have already my cash!! since march 1st.....
