I was doing some searching for any new information on the Ducati Scrambler, and all I could find was articles in French. Thanks to the help of Google Translate I am able to partially decipher what is going on here, but the main point is, "Is this the new Ducati Scrambler?"

Apparently the bike in this photo is equipped with a 796cc engine, and from what I can tell it sure does look like a Scrambler. The only point of comparison that we have are the spy shots that came out a few months ago. Is this bike the same as the bike in those spy shots???

The Ducati Scrambler should be on sale in 2015, but that means that we should see it at an auto show sometime in 2014. Many are thinking that the VW might bring the Scrambler to the Geneva Motor Show in March.

Do you think this is getting close to what the Ducati Scrambler will actually look like? Is it the bike in the spy shots? Is it what you are expecting the Scrambler to look like?

I do notice that the headlight seems to be off between the two pictures. Not sure if that is because the headlight is different or if it is because the camo is doing a good job of confusing me.

If thats what it turns out looking like in the photo above but with the traditional ducati red I would love to have it.
A round headlight is a must, i just can't see it happening with the headlight seen on the test mule.

That short exhaust looks great, something I want the production model to have. might be safe to say thats what it will have.

I think it would be foolish to make the headlight anything other than classically round. The OP picture does look like a rendering though, so I don't think it holds that much water. That does look very much like what the Scrambler could ultimately end up looking like though.

Likely that headlight on the mule came from their spare parts bin and could have been a way to cover up what it actually is by throwing people off.

I think the prime tip off that its a render is the use of the classic winged Ducati logo. They're not going to use that bike on the scrambler it would fiddle with thier overall branding too much..

I feel like I'm starting to get a pretty good idea of what the Scrambler will look like. The one part that I still don't know much about is the exhaust set-up. I think it is apretty clear that the exhaust won't be like it is in the pics we have posted in this thread. What are you hoping for?

Something that looks like what classic dukes did but still with some modern design cues. it's going to be interesting to see what they come up with.

if its a true scrambler and not just a scrambler in name it will need a high/mid mount exhaust.

The spy shots with the underbody would be completely impractical if you plan to actually scramble with it

you're willing to sacrifice capability for the underslung exhaust? Fair enough, Scrambler was never going to be a hardcore ADV bike anyways

Yes. I can say that because im not looking to do crazy riding. It's mainly going to be a bike I cruise around on, even with relaxed riding like that i still enjoy it.
