A question for all you electrical types. Can I chop out the indicators on my bike for a set of LED indicators or do I have to put new relays in as well.

Thanks

No relays nowadays. Mosfet transistors in the controller box. You will need resistors I guess, they are sold with the LEDs. Suggest to ask your dealer, this is a frequent mod on all bikes and should not be different from e.g. a new monster. Do not try without resistors unless the dealer says so cause that may fry your box. What type of indicators are you getting? Having a hard time to find something that is not totally spacey.

If the Scrambler is like other current Ducati models the indicators are driven directly from the dash, there is no relay. My Multi 1200 has LED front flashers as standard and bulbs at the rear, I changed the rear ones for Panagale LED indicators and no resistors are required.
The Hypers will power LED flashers with no resistors, some Monsters have a (hidden) menu selection that you can set for LED flashers.
Connecting LED indicators with resistors won't do any harm. At the worst they will just flash too quickly or won't flash at all. LED's draw very little current and the system, if not designed for LED use, will just think there is no bulb there.
I'd suggest try them and see. If they don't flash or flash too quickly fit ballast resistors. Only one resistor for each side , left and right, is required.

Last week I put my old monster Rizoma's on and fitted the resistors as before 1 per indicator but they flash faster than before on scrambler. Not so bad to annoy but need more on time. I was going to double up on resistors as Rizoma supplied 2 per indicator. But first I am going to remove them in case it maybe doesn't need them.
Wiring connectors for the front is right in the middle under the tank. A real pain in the butt.:(
