... but I don't. Which is a problem as I don't want to be wanting another bike. The trouble is, I can't shake the feeling that I really, really want a Scrambler 1100.

But that aside, I was wondering what makes the Scrambler 1100 different from say a Monster 1100, or maybe even the air-cooled HyperMotard. In other words, what differentiates the Scrambler 1100 from other similar styled (i.e. upright riding, naked bike) Ducatis with the same engine? What makes it a better bike (as is being said) than those others? Not knocking them and have no experience of riding either, but the reports I'm seeing indicate the Scrambler 1100 is a terrific bike to ride. Why so much better than the others? What is it about the bike that is so good?

This is not to help me decide as I've done that, but I'm intrigued as to why one bike might be considered better than another of similar or same style.

Well, I just bought one yesterday and I've got to say, I think we are going to be great mates.

It feels lighter than it actually when riding, has a good selection of safety items along with great looks and some nice options for customising.

What's not to like?

Just picked up my second scrambler 1100. Had a sport pro which I had to dump cause I couldn’t get back into Australia after having to come back to the states. I had picked up an R Nine T, and while it’s an amazing machine, it just didn’t have that Ducati character.

The stock exhaust leaves nothing to be desired imo unless you just want more decibels. The retro styling is great, and appreciate keeping the trellis frame vs trying to eek out every scrap of performance like other models cough monster cough

just my 2 cents, its a glorious bike ;)
