Hi Folks!

I just canceled my contract and order for my red Scrambler ICON with my dealership. I signed the contract on the 27th of May and should have picked up the bike on 3rd of June. Then the dealer told me that he had sold the bike that was supposed to be my bike twice. But he promised he would do anything possible to source me a bike asap.

Last week I received an email by the Ducati salesprson, that he would no attempt to get me a bike from alternative sources. WTF??? After more than six weeks of dicking me around and apparently doing nothing?

Since I heard more less than enthusiastic stories about this particular dealership, I can only say: If you plan to buy a Ducati in the very south of Gemany, where the black forest and the border to Switzerland meet: You may want to reconsider and find yourself a different dealership...

Ride safely!

Cheers, Joerg

Dealer doesn't deserve the business. While it may not get you a bike I'd write to the dealer and let him know that I'd be writing to Ducati and letting them know that the dealer had lost Ducati a sale and was ruining their reputation by association.

Bike franchises aren't easy to get, particularly in Europe, and the threat of him losing his franchise by what is nothing short of sharp practice might make him think twice about doing it to somebody else. I also think you should name and shame the dealer on both the Scrambler forums so others are aware.

Don't give up yet. Besides, you'll really want the yellow scrambler, not the red.

Yes, give us the dealership's name and the appropriate Ducati email address where forum members can register their displeasure. There are hundreds of people reading this forum...you never know.

That is a ridiculous story. What a terrible salesperson. I hope that you reported his behaviour to a superior, and I also hope that you can get your Scrambler from a dealership that has a much better standard of service.

Best of luck.
