I see Ducati have sold 9000 Scramblers so far, which by any standard is very impressive. I'm sure all the regular users of this forum understand why it's been so successful - it's a fantastic bike!

I check the forum (and the other one...) quite regularly, and see many now-familiar names. But I was wondering how many people use it? I suppose, of course, there are lots more casually viewing it than engaging in the chat.

Could the forum administrators give any indication of how many people visit ? I'm curious as to what proportion of the 9000 have found it.

Ducati is still a "boutique" brand.

9000 motorcycles is not a whole **** of a lot, when you consider that Yamaha produced and sold almost 60,000 in the same time period.

But the Scramblers commercial appeal is certainly undeniable.

is that 9000 globally or in NA? Would be interesting to see how many of each line they've sold in the same period...
Thats "global".

But how many of each model of Yamaha? For a niche model, 9000 Scramblers in around 6 months is pretty good. I wonder if they sold 9000 MT-09's in the same period?

My model of car sold 12,000 in 4 years! It's a bit more niche than the scrambler, though!

By far the biggest seller is the Honda CT110 (1123 sold) which is used by the post office. Next is the learner friendly Ninja 300 (1096)

We finally had a day without rain and I punched the bike to 1001 kms. The bike is sweet. It is NOT an off-road bike. Maybe after the mods I plan to do it will be, but for now, smooth pavement, swoopy curves, gains and losses of elevation -- I had a ball. The more miles the better. Can't wait to get thru this break-in. No missed shifts, no malfunctions.

That's a good amount of miles to already have on it so far.

Have you discovered anythings you like/dislike about it throughout those miles you've racked on?
