Just joined in I've ordered a yellow ikon , I'm fifty years old and been riding bikes for a while , my side bar photo is of when I when to Moto go in Philip Island , Melbourne in October , yes I have a heavy cagiva 900 and it is technically a ducati , I'm going to our ducati turismo in May to Bryan bay , riding new bike there, I was going to bolt a small surfboard to bike just to look the part but after reading blogs on the wind resistance I gave up , just have to wear some retro bike gear up to it . Enjoying all the info on forum,

Welcome, love the tent by the way. I went around Tassie in 2013 on my Vespa, but too short .... The group I was with did the trip in a week, would like to go back for 2 to 3 weeks.

Have you thought of doing some of your trip on that New England Highway rather than the Pacific Highway. Less trucks, more picturesque and you could hop on to Thunderbolt's Way. But in May take some warm stuff to wear on the ride.
