i am scott. i'm 37 and live in lawrence, ks. i have been riding and building vintage motorcycles for 15 years and never saw a new bike i would actually buy....until now.
i moved to kansas a few years ago and every time i would go out for a ride i would hit gravel roads and have to turn around. last year i started looking for a cagiva elefant but had no luck. then i started toying around with the idea of building an enduro using the monster platform. after a little research i found the factory had already done it better than i could.
i have decided to sell off those 15 years worth of bikes, projects and parts to buy an icon. so far i have sold an original cb750 chopper, an unrestored tx750 and some parts. i still have a long way to go. if it isn't a harley no one seems to be too interested in kansas.
i still have the newest bike i have ever owned for sale. my 1980 suzuki gs1000 vintage superbike restomod. it's listed here: 80 Suzuki gs1000 custom street fighter superbike cafe racer
i also have a set of keihin cr31 smoothbore carbs for an inline 4. yoshimura 73.5mm big bore pistons for a gs1000. original don vesco big butt seat. wes cooley signature arai helmet. 16" rear invader for a big twin. sissy bar fuel tank. vipex shocks for a cb1100f.
if you know anyone who might need an awesome old bike or sweet old parts pass along my e-mail. if i get a decent price for everything i should be within a few months of saving enough for the remainder. hopefully i can become a scrambler owner soon.
thanks,
scott
