Usually icon is a brand that I wouldn't even consider looking at, as all of their crap is splashed with a thousand logos that scream look at me. I'm not into advertising for someone unless you're paying me. While there is an icon 1000 logos on each shoulder, they blend in with the all black exterior, without screaming "LOOK AT ME!" The Basehawk is from the icon 1000 collection and is made with a four way stretch fabric, cordura and leather, with a mesh interior lining that has two stash pockets, some little slip pockets and an interior zip pocket with audio out passthrough. The jacket is really comfortable and provides more than enough room for movement, but not so much slop that you're worried about your armor shifting in the event of an accident. 3DO armor comes standard with the jacket in the back, shoulders and elbows. The jacket has provided more than enough venting up to this point in 70 degree weather. There are two vents in the front and two at each shoulder. It has a drop down tail that provides a bit of extended coverage in the back when leaning forward. There is also an attached hood and thumb loops in the sleeve that are useless if wearing gloves, as the loops are attached to the end of the sleeves rather than a bit back. This jacket can easily transition to being a knock around jacket without screaming I'm wearing my moto gear and provides more than enough water shedding capabilities for a light drizzle. Thus far it's been comfortable in weather from 40-70 degrees.
I'm a 40" chest and fit a M, but was limited in movement and only allowed for a t-shirt. The L provides ample room for movement and for a t and sweatshirt underneath without being sloppy and allowing the armor to shift all over.
