Hi Guys,

I'm new to Ducatis, but not new to motorcycles. I've got a bad case of motorcycle ADD, I've owned 10 (gulp) motorcycles since I started riding street bikes in 2010. I grew up putting around on an XR 70, and when I finally finished school and got a decent job, motorcycles became my passion/obsession/ILOVETHEM.

Bikes owned:
74 CB750K4 (sold)
Harley Nightster (least favourite, sold)
Triumph Thruxton (Converted to a street tracker, currently for sale)
WR250X (sold)
KTM 690 Enduro R (x2) (sold the first)
Triumph Street Triple R (x2) (Sold the first)
XR650L (sold)
KTM 1190 Adventure. (sold)

Looking forward to this full throttle. Hopefully I can keep my meddling hands off of it, but I'm really looking forward to something light and peppy, and I do love the sound of a V-Twin- Sorry, L-twin! I think my street triple might have something to worry about!

Great choice of bike that you went with in the past.

Hopefully you'll like your FT once you finally get to know it well enough.
Did you at least get the chance to see one in person before placing your order?

Should be getting it late may or early june! Hopefully that thruxton moves to help things along!

I purchased the FT with the intention of fiddling (at least a little bit) with it. I liked the lower bar, the fact that it was black and came with a 'foot in the door' termi exhaust.
It doesn't seem to sound nearly as awesome as the sport and race exhausts, but I'll have to ride for a little while to determine if it's the right register. Loud bikes are fun for quick blasts, but an absolute drag if you're riding for 6 hours in a day!

That's the problem with my situation, i need a bike to commute with every day when its nice outside. Chances are i'll keep it stock or go with something not too far off from what the stock setup is like.

I've gone the "TOO MUCH- TOOO MUUUUCH" route already with a Mule-Motorcycles bolt on covered thruxton. Fantastic results, but just doesn't feel like it's mine at all.

I have a KTM 690 enduro that's recieved a sort of tasteful/clever mods package that gets more miles and at the same time feels less precious? Maybe that's because it's a dual sport and no has bits that make it easier (psychologially) to dump in a gravel pit or run into trees!
