FT or Red Icon

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and going to ask one of those silly questions...

I'm hopefully picking up a Scrambler in the next couple of weeks and just can't decide between the FT or Red Icon. I know it's a completely personal subjective choice but really just looking for some opinions, pro/cons, why you guys chose your model etc? I need tipping over the edge one way or another!

I've researched a ton and think I'm edging towards FT based on slightly more modern looks, exhaust look and sound. But also like the more timeless standard classic look of the icon...

Not a bad decision...

Easy! Red Icon. It's faster than the Yellow one. But I'm biased...

If you are happy with the FT exhaust and would not get an aftermarket or Termi all good, because that's really why you pay $2000 AUD more.
Bars cost $60.
Seat is different too, but I just sit on that...

Icon. Then spend the money you saved to customise it to suit you. As said above FT bars are cheap to fit and there's a huge array of better exhausts to choose from and you'll still have money left to burn! As you say Icon looks are timeless so easy to live with longterm, or to resell.
But Yellow is best...........

Yea, I would say to remember you can customize after wards. So look through the accessories as well, and make your decision based on a combo of the bike and the accessories you want.

For the different in price between the FT and the Red ICON I was able to personalize my Red ICON into RED X.

only thing I would say is that I believe only the FT has had issues with the seat coming apart... correct me if im wrong

I originally wanted a red icon. When I went to put a deposit on one, they had a FT for sale. I bought it. They also had a yellow icon demo bike. After sitting on both, I liked the FT better. I don't regret it at all. The termi exhaust sounds great, so I won't be ditching that anytime soon. The FT seat, in my opinion, is more comfortable than the icon seat. If they made the FT with red accents instead of yellow, it would be perfect.

Go look at the bikes side by side if you can, you will know which one you like best.

I totally agree. FT with red accents would be perfect!

Update! Went with the FT. Very happy with my decision!!!
