I fitted a set of Hyperlites to the rear of the Icon. These super bright LED running, stop and turn lights really increase the visibility of a bike from the rear and were only $100.00 from my local Powersports dealer. The red brake lights can be set to either strobe continuously or strobe for 5 seconds and then go steady when the brakes are applied. I mounted them along side the stock license plate holder on the rear reflectors. I routed the wiring along the same route as the license plate light wiring so the wiring is really not visible when looking at the bike. However, doing so meant that most everything had to come off the back of the bike which really increased the install time. Once completed though it was worth the work. I'll post up a photo shortly of just the running lights on.
Some photos:

Testing the wiring to be sure all connections are good. These are bright lights! Brake lights are equally bright. Red LED running lights are on below the amber turns.

Test fitting the lights and rear fender to be sure wiring is of sufficient length and all fits correctly.

At least for now. If I see something someone has done that I feel would be an improvement I may change but until then this works out well enough even if it does very little to keep water from spraying up your back while riding on a wet road.

Looks really great. Love the improved safety factor, I am keeping the scraper on mine for the same reason as I ride and commute year round. This is a great addition IMO nice work!

They look really bright. They aren't blinding are they?
No, they appear that way to the camera lens but they are really no brighter than any of the LED tail/stop/turn lights that are standard equipment on many of the new upscale automobiles. I have never had any complaints about the set we have on the GL 1800. Here is a link to the Hyperlites web site.

Good to hear. Sometimes people go all out with the LED lights and I think that they are too bright and blind other drivers on the road. Maybe that's just me being a worry wart.

I have a skeene p3 on my other bike that I am planning to install on Scrambler. I haven't tried yet, but wondering what is the the color of brake and tail light wires. If I recall there is yellow, black, red color (and I think one more) wire that goes into tail/brake light assembly.
