First Service Done, WTH?

I really loved my Icon before it's first service, great little bike. Finally hit the 600 mile mark and took it in for service this weekend.

I guess there was an ECU re-map because this thing just got even better. Since the service, my throttle response is a lot tamer. No more jerkiness at low speeds. I don't feel like the bike is going to fly away from me every time I hit a large bump. Shifts are smoother than they were before and I haven't encountered any mis-shifts between 5th/6th like I was before. With the first 600 miles done, I took it highway speeds and this thing feels incredibly composed with at 90mph even with the low gearing. A lot more comfortable than my old bike was and still had plenty of power left.

It feels a lot better now. Almost a night and day difference. Also seems to be running a little quieter now with fresh juice and I think fuel economy has improved. It was late on Saturday when I picked it up, they were closing up when I took it, so I didn't ask any questions.

When did you buy the bike? I'm curious if I got the update or not , and if the Termi up-map precludes that.
1st service

I also just had my first service.. little over 700 miles on the bike.
I was told there was no new map. (Bike was delivered in June)

Between the fresh fluids and general tension adjustments, cable adjustments etc.. the bike is running awesome.

One major improvement.. I can find neutral at a standstill. Prior to the service The only way to find neutral with the engine running was while still rolling to a light. Now a quick up from 1st and neutral is right there... nice!

Much more fun to ride without thinking about the break in....

Got it on July 25th. No Termi on mine, just stock.
Thanks, I just ask because the 2012 1199 had so many updates, I'm trying to keep on top of them for the Scrambler.

Maybe there wasn't a map? All I know is that there is a noticeable difference in throttle response. Hitting railroad tracks was sketchy due to how abrupt and sensitive it was, not anymore.

As far as Neutral, never really had a problem with it. It was a lot easier than my last bike to find, so maybe I'm just used to something harder.
Are you 100 % sure you got your original bike back . . . . . ?

Smelt the same.
