Unfortunately the stainless steel quality used by Ducati for the pipes isn't the best. Their other bikes are the same.

Even if they use the highest quality, the result would be the same. Polished chrome is the only solution for this problem.
Since Ducati has no chrome accessories on any of its bike,using chome plated exhaust pipe would ruin the overall look..

I'd say exhaust tape is the way to go. It will even give the scrambler a unique classic look!
Even that golden color tape looks sweet!

Exhaust wrap looks shite! Just clean them with Autosol as Albie suggests.

I agree, and it makes the exhaust hotter than it already is.

Autosol is good stuff .... if you use it every now and then it is far easier getting the pipes looking good than using it only when the pipes are really discoloured.

Besides the exhaust tape, I've used Never Dull when this happened to my exhaust and it took away most of the spots. Problem is tho after a few rides its back again from the heat.
