As a bit of a comparison, in the UK, the most obvious 'competitor', the Triumph Scrambler lists at £7699, in single colour, add £200 for two, (from Triumph official web 01.11.14)
Not sure if discounts are readily available, but it's a fairly old model now..

Makes the Ducati pricing seem reasonable I'd say....it would be interesting to discover if the price comparison remains the same in other countries..

According to their website, the Triumph Scrambler is priced at $9,099 here in the US, for either of the color options. So they're a bit closer here, but not much.
