7,309 bikes delivered in April!
- JalopnikDucati just had its best month ever, delivering 7,309 bikes in April. That’s a 29 percent increase in sales over this time last year and blows past the previous record of 6,500 bikes sold in May of 2012. The reason? The Scrambler.
Ducati is already seeing a 10 percent bump in sales for the year, with a total of 17,881 sold in the first quarter. Much of that has to do with the Scrambler being the best-selling bike in Italy, where the company is seeing a 69 percent increase in its home country.
Sure, the new 1299 Panigale and Multistrada 1200 are helping with the uptick in sales, but the Scrambler’s success in Europe – including increases of 52 percent in Germany and 50 percent in the UK – are pointing towards a banner year.
Deliveries in the U.S. just started in the past month, and Ducati believes it’s going to boost sales in the States by around 20 percent.
