Soooo im going to Rudskogen in Norway this weekend and part of next week.
Bringing my UE to the track. >:D

This will be a fun experience coming from a Daytona 675 complete with quickshifter and a correct setup suspension for the track.

Probably should have made time for a change of tires to something different from the MT60s but what the heck.
It works great for me on the smaller back roads so.

Anyone else who have tried the Scrambler on a trackday?

I haven't yet, but I will track my Icon later this summer. I actually think the factory tires will work pretty well for a track day, however I don't imagine they will last too long with the abuse. Definitely let us know what you think!

I wouldn't be too keen on using the stock tyres. I doubt they would handle the heat and load too well, and all I can imagine is them ending up greasy and sliding around on the tread blocks, like using a wet tyre in the dry.

I agree on the tires, although havent had time to get a change. Probably should get an extra set of rims if i keep going to the track.
Since you have the wire wheels that are heavier, I'd try to pick up a set of the Icon wheels which are apparently a few pounds lighter. Might look a bit weird on the UE, but you can swap them out for track days only and put some track specific rubber on them.

So, i just got back from Rudskogen. Awesome track!

And god damnit what an awesome bike! Very very different from the Daytona 675 i had before.

I went out in the fastest street bike group. Adjusting to the different seating position took a couple of sessions.
When i learned the bike i was amongst the fastest ones in the twisty parts of the track. I even held up against an S1000RR with slicks, he only beat me on the straight :)

I lacked top speed but made up for it in the corners.
Tires worked fine for the bike but i did end up in the escape when i went in to hot and went hard on the brakes.
The biggest issue though was the skid plate, which i ended up scratching on the right side in several corners.

For someone not aiming to be the fastest guy out there, the Scrambler would be just fine on the track.
Biggest surprise was how much grips the tires had.

Will upload some pictures and possibly a video when i get them :)
