We'll know shortly either way, but now Visor Down is reporting that the Scrambler will make use of the Monster 796's 803cc V-Twin. It seemed all but guaranteed the Scrambler would use the 696cc engine from the Monster 696...

At least thats what Visor Down is saying

The Scrambler, which uses the 803cc air-cooled V-twin from the Monster 796, was seen last week undergoing noise testing in spy shots.
Exactly 1 month until we find out for certain at World Ducati Week!

that is true, there's really nothing to go off of here when it comes to price, this is just mainly on what engine it would come with and whether that is within the 600cc range or 800cc range it can be either cheaper than what we've seen ducati's go for or as high as we expect them to be.

Ok how about we stop using the word CHEAP. There is no such thing as a cheap Ducati, just like theres no such thing as a cheap lamborghini. There are LOWER PRICED Ducatis, but not cheap Ducatis. The Scrambler will be the lowest PRICED scrambler yes, but not a cheap Ducati...

The lower the power of the engine, the lower the price of the bike probably. I was under the impression starting out that the Scrambler would be a lowered powered and lower priced machine (for a Ducati).

I hear you, all I was saying is that CHEAP and Ducati do not go together at all. Agreed the Scrambler will be priced lower than Panigale, Monster et all, but I don't think its going to be cheap...

We all had hopes it would be a low displacement fun little thing, but when you look at the costs involved with developing a new powertrain there was no way they could sell it at a relevant price point.
