I'm currently on a waiting list for a yellow Icon, and the total price I was quoted including all of the dealer fees, but not tax is: $9,745.00. That seemed a bit high considering it's more than $1k over MSRP. Is that ballpark for what the rest of you have been paying?

I think that price is fair. Consider supply and demand. There isn't enough supply right now to cater to the demand. Majority of people who want to buy a Ducati Scrambler have to put a deposit and wait for delivery. If you are not in a rush, you can try waiting for supply (production) to exceed market demand and the price should dip.

For the record, I did put down a $500 refundable deposit. At least the dealer said it was refundable. Receipt I received after the fact claimed it was non-refundable...
I woul ask. Maybe that's a general post on all their receipts, But for a bike deposit...there is some leeway. Besides, its not like it wont sell!

Too high! I paid MSRP for the Yellow Icon, $8,595 plus $400 shipping for a total of 8995 before adding in tax etc. Then again, my dealer is one of the few I am aware of that I was able to walk in and buy one out of the crate. Most excellent people to deal with. Wagner Motorsports International in Worcester, MA. Open on Sundays too!

As a long time lawyer let me offer a word of advice here, what the receipt says is what you did/get. The dealer may then later choose to refund if they want but if push comes to shove your receipt controls and the deposit is non-refundable. Hopefully it won't come to that and you'll enjoy your Scrambler as much as everyone else does. Fantastic bike! :D

Taxes are the variable, Chicago here; 10600. We have 2 shops, 1st was 10800; then tried to get me for +400MSRP for the high-termi and +200 for install/map (4hour charge, double other shop).

I f-ing hate dealing with with dishonest people. Did he think I was walking in without doing my research?

I have heard good things about Wagner Motorsports. Just have not had the chance to give them a visit, but if they are open on Sundays that may change.

Final price (USD) for my red Icon in Pennsylvania:

$8400 base price
$525 freight
$195 setup
======
$9215 subtotal (taxable)

$9215 subtotal
$553 sales tax
$50 title fees
$18 registration fees
$28 registration plate
$15 online fee (presumably for using Ducati's website)
$0 encumbrance fee (would be $23 if I used financing)
$2 PTA fee (tire tax)
$134 documentary fee
=====
$10,015 grand total

I paid $1000 deposit (refundable as store credit).

When I emailed initially I was quoted the following prices (inclusive):

$10,144 Icon red
$10,250 Icon yellow
$11,628 Enduro/FullThrottle/Classic

So I got offered $130 less in the shop without any haggling. It seemed like a fair price regardless.

Looking at what others are getting charged for freight + setup I'm not complaining. See this Full Throttle price thread: http://www.ducatiscramblerforum.com...tle/10665-full-throttle-price-out-door-4.html
