that's pretty neat. I almost squeezed in a ride but my wife and kids were rolling the red carpet and had some pretty good plans cooked up so I just didn't have the heart to say I was going for a spin. Going from san diego to Monterey on it tomorrow. Yes, during break-in. I did it on my 2013 tiger 800xc with only 110 miles on it, plus duc service mgr told me to not be such a friggen worry-wart! :laugh:

Thats a great ride Pete. Drove along the coast up to San Fran from your home town last summer and thought it would be awesome by bike. Stayed in Monterey and really enjoyed the coastal drive, I am envious! Enjoy and please post pics up

yes, I made it to Monterey. I met my family up here. I am leaving my bike here and we are continuing on to Oregon, Washington and finally Idaho. It was a nice ride but if it wasn't for the 10 dollar cramp buster, I would've been a hurting unit. Seriously, that little piece of shat saved my life. As far as seat goes, I bought two sections of 3 inch foam and cut them and glued them together for 6 inches of extra foam on the seat. I just sat on top of them. they weren't fastened. I couldn't be bothered any more. I had enough crap on not including earplugs which I kept forgetting to reinsert. so off came everything just for those little pieces for shat. all in all it was good! although never again on the ol scrambler.
