I did not need to use the two extra screws to attach the brackets, which in my kit were longer than the screen mounting screws but shorter than the original turn signal mounting screws. The original mounting screws were long enough to fit the brackets securely. Also, the fitting instructions did not mention any necessity of replacing the turn signal mounting screws, or even that there were two extra screws included. Go figure.

The US model Scramblers have spacers between the turn signals and the mounts. Remove those spacers (it looks better) and use the Dart provided screws.

Look at my signal stalk here:

Dart flyscreen helmet noise.

My Arai RX-Q helmet was very quiet on all of my bikes...until I installed a Dart flyscreen. LOTS of helmet buffeting now. I think I'll try adding a few washers to push the top of the screen out further. Hope that helps. If it doesn't, I will probably remove the flyscreen. Dart won't take it back, because I installed it.:(

I usually always have to piddle with a screen to get it to suit. Pieces of old fuel hose cut on a slant make good spacers, too. Glenzo, that Dart will sell if you decide you don't want to keep it. Good luck.

Little Screen, Big Difference!

Went for my first country/freeway ride with the newly installed Dart flyscreen on the weekend (here in the windy city).

Makes a big difference for me at freeway/highway speed. I am relatively light for my height, and was clinging onto the bike around 90kph (depending on wind conditions). Can now sit comfortably at 110. Still blowy - doesn't make it into a tourer by any means - but much more pleasant in that range :)

Next - probably do something about the low speed bucking...

Glenzo, DUH!
It's no secret that a screen directs wind AWAY from body/chest area, reducing the bug-splatt-impact area, as well as helping to ease necessary-wind-pressure-hold-on-to-handle-bars-grip when touring above a certain speed.
Obviously, that extra wind has got to arrive somewhere - usually around your ears. How come you're surprised?

If you want to sell, I will buy from you!
