I really wish the Icon's fenders were painted yellow aluminum! It's the one thing that puts me off about the Icon. Yes, you can buy the aluminum fenders, but they are not painted and who is going to match the exact color of the Ducati Yellow? Why do they do this to us...

I just would prefer metal over plastic.

I will get a set of alloy ones. I spoke to my dealer and said why are they advertised as alloy and chromed. Why do you chrome ally. Why can it not be just brushed.. I would like a yellow and part alloy ones. I may black centre stripe my yellow ones to match the tank strip I ordered. But in vinyl not paint.

I agree. The plastic used on the front fender is also very thin. It feels about at thick as a milk carton. I gave it a gentle squeeze and it easily buckled. I think they had to cut a few corners to make the price point and this is definitely one of those items. They probably assume that is one of the first items that customers will change.

The aluminum fenders as accessory are not chrome plated from what I can tell. They definitely have a brushed/raw aluminum look to them...not shiny at all.

That's what I thought and why I asked them. Confused or what. Hope not anyway as they are on the list. My bike no doubt will be collecting most parts for a mix match of bikes when I fancy a change.;)
