Hi Gang,

Anyone replace the fuel cap with something custom? I was thinking about tracking down a fuel cap in black for my red Icon.

Also I wonder how hard it would be to install a custom (non-OEM) flush mount fuel cap.

Any downside or issues that I should think about?

Lastly, is the OEM cap something that could be power coated or wrapped (in black) -- as opposed to replacing the whole thing?

I'd try wrapping first, that way you can change back if you don't like it.
The aftermarket guys are going to be flooding the market with Scrambler goodies, will be real interesting to see what they come up with.

Seems like a fun and simple enough mod. What kind of wrap would you try out first? Any ideas?

when i had the bonneville in my profile pic, i wrapped the chrome cap with black electrical tape to see f I liked it. you could try that first to see if you like the look. you could access paint section to photoshop the cap too. just some ideas

Wrapping it might be tough with the various curves. This seems more like a plastidip project.
