Thanks. I enclosed some pictures of the process, the tricky part is mounting the eyelid. I used the backing plates from a Shimano clipless pedal system. I cut them in half and once inserted they run nearly flush on the back of the bezel as there is no room for regular nuts. I then attach the sanded and painted eyelid with short cap head allen bolts.


The eyelid has no detrimental effect on light throw at night. High beam still casts far and high to illuminate the road. Nothing better than looking down at racing stripes and the sound of a sweet L-twin.

If it was up to me i'd consider blacking out that ring around the headlight, might make for a cleaner front end with the black eyelid.
