Is it just me?

I've never had so much attention on a bike before.

So much so that yesterday a bloke ran out into the road whilst I was at lights, begging me to pull over so he could look at the bike.

Then filling up, a crazier Italian cashier runs out of the shop shouting and wildly gesticulating, saying he wanted one.....

Mine has had no end of attention! I parked up at a large bike event and two guys came straight over and said 'Wow, that's the first one we've seen in the flesh, can we have a sit on it??!!' Bit cheeky but I let them :roll eyes: they were raving about it. At another big bike event again I had just parked up and had three people come over and admire it, a lady said 'Wow it's gorgeous' and took a pic  . At a filling station the guy filling up his car next to me said it looked fab, first one he'd seen, used to have a Ducati etc. In B&Q carpark a man getting into a car next to me asked about it and said it would be perfect for his wife, looked really cool and could he possibly have a sit on it ???!!! I'll have to charge soon ... :D

Make the most of it while it's still relatively rare ;)

I was at the local dealer last weekend when someone came up to me and asked "hey were you parked on 17th avenue this morning? I totally saw the bike!". That same day I went to another shop to check out a new Kawasaki H2R they were firing up, and I swear the Scrambler nearly had as much attention as the H2R!

I've also noticed that filtering in traffic, car drivers make it easy for me to get past. In thirty years of riding GSXR Suzukis that rarely happened.

It's as if people are pleased to see the Scrambler and it's just made their day a little better.

Yep, I had a bus driver lean out his window when we were sitting in traffic to say that he liked my bike. Went on an advanced riding course and pretty much everyone in the group, including the instructor, were busy admiring it. One guy on the course kept pulling up beside me (instead of behind) so he could spend his time waiting looking at it.

Things like this happens to me everyday, as I use my bike for commuting to work. Just yesterday in front of the red light, an old man behind me tried to move up and shouted that he was Italian and he loved the bike. Whenever I park it in front of a shop, there will be people gathering and taking photos... Basically, it makes me feels like I'm a superstar :)

My close friend told me that if I drove a car, it must be a million USD car to get that much attention from the public - and I was kind of agree with him...

I've had a police woman ask me about it when I was stopped at a red light.

Although it didn't win the prize for best bike it definitely got the most attention at a recent small bike show at a local pub. (I should add that I wouldn't expect it to win, since some of the other bikes were heavily modified and mine was stock, albeit pretty.)

Yesterday I stopped off at the dealer for lunch and somebody in the car park wanted to know all about it before I'd even had a chance to get my helmet off!

So yes, it does seem to attract a fair bit of interest.

The people who thought I was crazy laying down money a month after bad high side with a Monster 796 (thrashed me and the bike) are giving me compliments on the bike. They really don't understand that it's the same engine with the same potential >:D
