A bike cover is the last thing I would hall around. What are you going to leave at home? Your rain gear?
Haha! Good point. Its more like in case I don't have room in the garage at some point, especially in the winter. I'm leaning towards a cheap Nelson Rigg as I don't predict I'll use it often, but wanted to see what others might have experience with and sizing.

I ordered a Dowco Weatherall Guardian Plus cover from Revzilla. It sounds like a medium would be a better fit, but there was only large size available. It cost me $80, shipping was free. We'll see how it stands up to the New Mexican sun, wind, rain, dust and snow. Seems to me like an investment worth making... I love my Scrambler!

On the other hand, if you're bringing a cover along with you on travels (which I also don't really see the point of -- its a motorcycle, not a baby! I think it can handle a few nights outside in the cold!) there were a few options that seemed lightweight, like they'd do the job, and would be very easily packable. Those options cost about $16 on Amazon.com. The packability comes at the cost of durability for long term, in that case.

Dowco also have a security system that allows you to booby trap your bike with the cover which may be a plus.

The only reason that I would not want the Scrambler Motorcycle Canvas is that being in NYC, I do not want people to know what's under that cover!! :D

Don't worry, with artificial intelligence and liquid metal like seen in the Terminator movie coming more and more into reality, we'll have bike covers that will scare away any potential thieves :D
