Have any of you done work to copy the seat pan on a bike like this? I'm thinking I'd like to try to create a solo seat with integrated rack like Triumph has for the Scrambler. But I've never molded a custom shaped seat pan before, so I don't know the first place to start.

Wrap the bottom of the seat in plastic wrap and pour in plaster to make a negative mold?

Just start pounding sheet metal into shape?

Do any of you have links or resources to look at?

To me that Scrambler pic looks like they just shortened the foam and cover and left the standard seat base there. That would probably be your easiest way silverluxe, find a good upholsterer to shorten the seat then just bolt a rack to the standard seat pan.

That does sound like a plan. My husband has the outfit posted above on his Bonneville and runs like that 99% of the time. silverluxe, if you pull the cover and foam off your pan, please post some pictures for us.
