Hey all. Didn't want to snub you now that my beauty Queen has arrived. Decided to name her Lana.
So here is what I found: (this will not be a technical writing piece) ;)
Handlebars easy to reach and very comfy
grips very comfortable as well. No need for new ones.
throttle responsive but easily feathered in turns, no problem
efi, perfect with termi, didn't try it without. bought bike and termi on faith
tires, unbelievably sticky, great on the fire road, confident as ****! thx Motogeo!
shocks are perfect. if off-road was a priority, then I would investigate more about changing but no need!!
seating position is very comfy for me and I am 5 foot 7 inches, yep a shorty
seat hurts a bit but hope it will break in soon. I've been putting four 25 lb weights at night on it, on the floor. don't know why im doing this, blame the liberal arts degree. the master's too.
paint is amazing. cruised by paint shop to look at friends bike and owner said he thought it had at least 2 or 3 shots of clear.
gas consumption is a VERY good. On second tank I got 171 miles. Yes, I did the math twice.
fyi, if you buy grill for light, it does not come with rubber gasket for cable rubbing. You have to yank off the oem one and glue it on with some strong ass glue, since it will be rubbing.
USB...still wondering what to do with it. plugged my android in but wire gets squeezed by seat so. let it be a buying point for the next person.
That's all I have, sorry I am not a technical person. Just type it in as I see/feel it!
Thanks all!
Pete
pics aren't my thing but will do my best to post for your viewing. don't hate me because my bike is beautiful. 0:)

As in Pepsi Cola Lana Del Ray?

I'm glad you got it and I'm glad you're riding it. My seat is compliant at 850 miles. Almost like my butt is sitting on the seat pan. I hope it doesn't end up feeling like it's gone flat soon! :)

YUP! That's my lady! Didn't you know? I accidentally uploaded her as my avatar earlier, you may have noticed. I changed it to Fred and Ethel on a AJS sidecar bike. Its hard to se so I may change it again. Fussy huh? ;)Forgot to ask...so it feels as thought he cushioning has squished down?

It's a proper bike name. I totally get it.

I don't listen to a lot of women singers, but I know a lot of her songs because of her voice and lyrics. I have a lot of women complain that they hate her. My wife hates my bike for pretty much the same reasons as women hate Lana Del Ray. :)

I like non-technical write-ups, since I can hardly follow the technical ones; thank you!

Sarah

p.s. That gas mileage sounds great.

Sarah
thanks, I thought I had made a mistake with first tank full but apparently not. had my buddy do it separately in case for some odd reason I was in error. so I conclude that its pretty good! thanks sarah! :D

I totally feel you. I listen to each about 50%. Had these two neighbors for a long while, brothers, who only listened to male singers with a lot of angst. I could never really relax when over in their garage shooting pool, darts or messing with bikes. I think that's when I went the other direction in music.
I actually just like Lana 2011-2012. something happened after that. :|

This pretty much sums up my taste in music:

Sometimes I just like to relax. Most of my friends listen to hardcore, oi, punk and while that's fine, I don't feel like listening to aggro music all the time. I have a Ducati Scrambler, why would I be angry?! I just cruised my Pandora stations and see that I have a few female singer stations set up:

Adele
Amy Winehouse
Astrud Gilberto
Gloria Jones
Goldfrapp
Lana Del Ray
Lorde
M.I.A.
Mazzy Star
Peaches
Q Lazzarus

Good deal! Like most of those. Amy Winehouse I am not familiar with her pieces.

Since I'm going to pick up my long awaited Classic this afternoon, I appreciate the write up.
thanks firebird. I had a bunch of CHP's looking at it today outside of a bohemian coffeehouse. I ripped the dealer plate off and was a little hesitant to walk up until I saw them pointing. Ends up one of the Chippers brother just got a FT. WHEW!
