I’m thinking of changing the front sprocket of my sixty2 from 15t to a 14t. The reason is I live in Bangkok and never reach highway speeds. Thought I might as well get some more acceleration and lower idle speed for rush hour traffic.

Has anyone done this on their sixty2 and what was your experience?

So I changed from 15t to a 14t front sprocket, and it was a very positive mod. Highly recommend it for people who are doing 90% of their driving in a city. Here’s what was good:
- small, but noticeable increase in acceleration
- lower idle speed (less feathering of the clutch in traffic)
- slightly smoother at low speed (less lurching)
- very minimal impact on top speed

According to gearing commander (http://www.gearingcommander.com) top speed should now be 135 kph, but on my test drive after changing to 14t, I quickly hit 140 kph uphill with plenty of power left. Estimate I could have hit 150-160 fairly easily uphill

Highly recommend this Mod. Bought the sprockets and chain from carpimoto and had it delivered to Thailand:
