after 15 years of bmw (k100rs16v,G1150gs,R26) of cardan drive chain.
And 6 years of enduro/MX/Rally (G450x), i don't know anymore how to lube a chain..... for tarmac driving. In enduro/MX/rally i did it after every ride/competition day.
If you drive on tarmac after how many km do you lube the chain?
I read on the internet everything between 200 an 1000km.
Before my bmw bike's i had an honda dominator with i drove for day trips 500-600 km and i don't recall to lube it every time...
so whats lube rate nowadays...

Scottoiler is good but your best off with anti fling oil. My mate swears by them but I have never used one but thinking of it. I use dry spray waxey lube every 200-300 miles but you can go longer but depends on washing and type of weather going on rain etc Still get fling with that mind .

Another shout for Scottoiler here. I've ridden BMW's for so long I'd forgotten how to oil a chain too so I went the easy route

I just get a can of whatever make, spray it after filling up the tank 3 times.

As I have it standing outside, if it's been raining hard over the last few days I might give it a little extra spray once in a while.

And, do a proper clean+lube every 1000-1500 miles.
