I'm not sure how many members are now on this forum, but there is probably enough prospective new scrambler owners to warrant some bulk buy discounts on aftermarket goodies.
Clothing, exhausts, crash bobbins, suspension, GPS or IPhone mounts, etc etc.
Not sure where to start. Maybe something like a % off for forum members at one superstore that carries most things we need (want). Must be able to deliver worldwide. I just find the prices on some items that a lot of people might want, are just ridiculous. AUD$170 for a crash bobbin from Evotech! Let's negotiate to buy 1000.
Is there merit in this?

like the idea and have been looking at these too, but might be a bit too optimistic.

I've done this before with the Hornet owners club a few years ago. You don't negotiate quantities, you simply negotiate a discount for the group as a whole. We found that most dealers were happy to do at least a 10% discount for group members just for the bulk advertising that they're receiving within the group.

It's definitely something worth pursuing.

There probably is merit to the discount for the group idea that the others reccommend if enough members want a certain item.
Personally I would rather wait a few months until more bits from other manufacturers come up on ebay etc. Remember, half of these bikes are made in Thailand so I have no doubt that there will be a fair bit of stuff coming out of Asia.

Given how close we are to Thailand I really hope so. If I could find someone better than 10 would you be interested?

Definitely interested in a better deal on accessories. These are the items that I'll be on the hunt for once I get my Classic home.
Scrambler outdoor jacket
Crash bobbin
Saddle bags
GPS mount
Wind screen

I'm not really sure what bits I want yet, decide what I need after I've gotten to know the bike better.

Kitersi, for GPS mounts I'd reccommend RAM mounts and you can get most at reasonable prices from Johnny Appleseed GPS shops if you have one there.
