Ordered red Icon first week in February and still no news. Is this longest wait for a UK Icon? Dealer is Metropolis in Barnet and the wait is now at 10 weeks. Considering the order was placed in February I think its a bit long....

That does seem a long wait for the UK for an Icon - I ordered mine 2 March and got it 1 April (could have had it sooner but decided to wait to get an extra months' tax).

Also surprising they can't at least give you an update on it's whereabouts? I was told when it was shipped, when it arrived in the UK and approximate arrival date at the dealers.

There's a cancelled order at my dealer's (Woods Abergele) but it's yellow .. :|

Hope you hear some good news soon!

This is what annoys me that I am getting no updates on the bikes statues at all except "should be anytime soon" or "hopefully you have not got much longer to wait" ...

I ordered a yellow Icon on 22nd of January and got it on the 11th of March - seven weeks all bar one day. At the end of the waiting time I know that I got impatient and felt that it was a little longer than I would have liked.

My order was placed about a week before the demo bikes came in and I suspect that may have made a difference. I was happy to order as my dealer only wanted £250 down and said that it was fully refundable if I didn't want to proceed after trying out the bike, as they would easily sell every bike they could lay their hands on.

Some people got their bikes quicker than me, due to people cancelling orders placed on the same basis as mine. But then, once people started to try out the bike, I think that a lot of fresh orders were placed and that's perhaps why your wait is a bit excessive, not to say frustrating, now.

No consolation I know ...

I think I am just too impatient. My bike is the next scrambler due there and I cant fault the salesman who has served me twice in the past. He is chasing bike up again this week and hopefully Ducati have some news. I just pushing it as want the bike in month of May at the latest and want to make sure that happens

I ordered my Classic a the start of November and I'm still waiting. What I find more frustrating is hearing of others in the UK who have ordered much later and already have delivery, albeit from other dealers.

Mike at Metropolis in Barnet is a good guy, he basically told me that the people who placed their orders 1st get their bikes 1st and that Ducati are going down the list. (which makes sense) I do get your frustration though as I also placed my order for an FT in February but hopefully we'll get some news about our bikes this week. (fingers crossed). I did get to demo the Yellow Icon on Saturday whilst my current bike was being serviced & MOT'ed and I loved it..... (easy with the throttle in 1st though)

Yeah Mike is a good guy who has treated me well in the past when I bought a Vespa and again a SV650S from him. He can only get as much info as Ducati UK give him and it is not him my frustration is aimed at.

Am sure it will come in month of May and am happy if that happens, just wanted some sort of info (any for that matter) from Ducati telling us where the bike is at in terms of build etc. Oh well patience is the name of the game. I could have changed to a yellow Icon a month back from another dealer but the deal I got from Mike was just too good to pass up ...

Yeah the minute I opened the throttle after dropping bike down from the kerb in front of shop .... the front wheel went up :)

Hope you FT gets to you quick :)
