Last week I 'accidentally' took my scrambler Full Throttle on a race track. Was supposed to be on my Panigale but woke up to a flat battery. Had a ball but conscious that the standard tyres arent designed for a track.

If I wanted to keep using it for track days what would be a good road/track tyre ? My Panegale has Corsa Rossi II but this seems a bit of overkill for the Scrambler ?

Thanks !

I would love to hear opinions on your question. Is it 803cc or the 1100 ? Look good on the track and seeing the pic with good tires you have clearance to lean this bike a good bit. How did it feel beside the tires not being track worthy? Thanks

So I had these fitted. I feel less agile but it's early days yet. I only ride the road. Can't lie, I preferred the look of these compared to the MTs.

So I've put a few miles on these tyres now. They feel firmer that the the original MTs but I think they have more grip when warm. They're growing on me rapidly.

From my understanding the Pirelli scorpions STR’S where developed by Pirelli specifically for the desert sled. Great tire! I’m trying to find a. Second set of wheels to run an off road set-up, and a dirt set up. I love the Motoz tractionators. Any idea on a second set of wheels. Ducati wants $4,200🤬

Ebay usually has wheels for less than 4K. copy and paste the two links below, from Italy & UK.
STR tyres are great for the road, the warmer they get the more grip you get. Probably not that good off road, they are quite soft and wear out quickly.

Thanks for the info. That’s exactly what I’m looking for, but for the desert sled. Front is a 19” rear is a 17”. I don’t know if there is a difference between the desert sled Wheels and Ducati scrambler 800 wheels?
