Does someone have any idea if there is an AFR controller out on the market for the bike. Theoretically anything for the Hypermotard 796 or the Monster 796 should work, as it's the same ECU, but connectors and harness design are sure to be different.
I spoke with Bazzaz and they said the Scrambler is in the list of bikes to work but they don't have an ETA. Anyone know about PCV?
Maybe if there are several inquiries they will prioritize the development, so why not drop them an email?

Love to help, just don't know what all of those acronyms mean except perhaps EFI. Sorry :crying:

Air Fuel Ration (AFR) controller, EFI - Electronic Fuel Injection Controllers - ATVs, UTVs, Motorcycles, Snowmobiles, Scooters, Sport Bikes, Watercraft apparently easy to install, but once you have the info what tables are you going to compare against?

Oh, sorry about that.
PCV is Power Commander V by Dynojet. It is an Air Fuel Module (AFM) which piggybacks the ECU to re-map the fuel-air mixture. Same as Bazzaz's ZFi module.
With this, you can adjust your AFR (air-fuel ratio) as it was done with the jets and the needles in the old carbs.
Hope that helps.

I think the ECU is different than the 796? As in it's new and needs to be figured out by these companies at the moment... I just got my Fiat OBD adapter cable in the mail today. I plan on figuring out how to map the thing myself with the JPDiag software so I don't have to have add-on boxes hooked up to the bike.

JPDiag works for reading/writing the map only with MagnetiMarelli ECU.
There is a new Version, which works with the Conti/Siemens M3C ECU of the Scrambler. But only for Service, like resetting the Service-Control,and Testing the Ignition,Injection,etc.Reading/Writing Maps is not possible at the moment.
Cheers

Nah Jerry, we just need to learn from them. I hear this computer controlled fuel injection thing is the way of the future :)

I'm looking forward to learning more, something like TuneECU would be great to play with if it worked on the Scrambler.

I'm hopeful that in the future something will become available. I'm too dumb to write the software myself, but the Tune ECU application I got for free when I had my Speed Triple was GREAT.

I was hoping mostly to have software to at least turn off the service indicator lamp.

I have no great aspirations to run my bike on a dyno and dial in every tiny detail, but I do like to get the map to a place where the less harm is done to the engine than the overly lean EPA requirement meeting map.
