I had an idea to convert a backpack to a tail bag and wouldn't ya know it, it worked!
I used an Element skateboard backpack, and bought some quick release buckles and nylon strapping from strapworks ($49.99 for the bag, and $12 for the extra hardware). It seems pretty secure, considering I can rock the bike with the bag. Lol.
For anyone else interested in doing this, steepandcheap has the bags (in various patterns) for $35. Now for pictures...
