We don't really know what the Scrambler is going to look like yet, but many of us have our hopes, dreams and imaginations. I thought I would post pictures of the best custom bikes of the year from Autopia to give us ideas about what we want from Ducati, and what we will do ourselves if Ducati doesn't give it to us. Behold, be inspired!

The concept 90 is in the right order bring at the top that thing is a work of art.
Ducati Petardo - El Solitario MC.....looks like the seat could get really hot, i'd be concerned about that. Definitely not a bike for long distance riding.

This is my favorite the bobbers look good but i don;t enjoy the riding position and where the pegs are. Mayeb not just yet. Probably something for later ;)

I really like the exhaust position on the Fuel R80S Trial - Karles Vives. Wish that we could see the front side of the bike though.

And I really like the seat on the Deus Elegant Mongrel - Deus Ex Machina. Looks comfortable and the brown leather is very classy. I agree with Helios that these bikes show us what Ducati could do to make the Scrambler cool, and if they don't than we can use this stuff for ideas of how to modify the Scrambler in the future.

That to me was the runner up, I love it, it looks like a mini-chopper. Everything about this is right, the overall design, which is simple, color scheme, and everything else!
I think that this one is my favorite. The design has such a straight edge on the top of it. And I like the full on rims. It almost look like the engine is floating at the part closest to the front wheel. It's got a nice retro/future look to it.

I don't think that this bike will really have any similarities to the Scrambler though.

sadly if this kind of styling is what you are aiming for. custom is the best way to go. not many manufacturers still sell such vintage styled motorcycles.

That is true, but the Scrambler is supposed to be at least partially retro styled. If you spend a bit on some after-market mods you can probably make a really cool retro styled bike out of the Scrambler. Impossible to say right now since we don't know what the Scrambler will look like, but this is what I am hoping for.

sometimes bike makers don't do it up to par with how everyone wants it, some people want it more retro looking. can't blame them, thats where aftermarket comes in!
I have a feeling if the scrambler comes out more modern than it was suppose to not holding any of its past retro looks it might turn off buyers that anticipated it to be retro inspired.

Same here.
I doubt it will sell well if it turns out to be like that, it needs the right amount of retro, like what BMW did, they do that and they're golden.

The Monster looks more retro than that spyshot we've seen,

But I'm hoping Ducati is listening. Or that its just a test mule.
