Hi I am Gerry from Staffordshire UK , 52 year old coming back to motorcycles after 25 years off, I got the bike delivered sat and went out for a ride sun , I did 100 miles knocking round Buxton and Ashbourne areas , I have nothing to compare the bike to as the last thing I rode has faded from memory , i had a few bits nailed onto it but mainly the high termi . My observations are thus , the engine is very strong , the throttle is very quick , the seat is very hard , the suspension is hard but at no time did I feel out of control because of it , the wind blast at 60+ is very uncomfortable but expected on a naked bike . Going out next weekend to learn how to use gears, clutch and throttle to get round bends safer , as when you drop to a low gear onto a roundabout the slightest bump or knock of the road surface makes you lurch, perhaps I should try a higher gear to smooth it out? , I am having to learn my techniques all over again with a modern fuel injected bike , but the first time you power round a curve you just get giddy at how nice it feels , loving it except my low speed skills

The Scrambler doesn't like low speeds but it is also not the worst motorcycle at low speeds. The wide tires are a double edge sword. Boggy at slow speeds but terrifically stable at high speeds and cornering. Keep riding and always be safe!

I think I saw at Matlock Bath on Sunday , I was talking to the guy with the red Icon, really nice looking bike your classic, I'm ordering one in January, I had 17 years off bikes and I know what you mean about getting back into the various skills, give it a couple of months and you'll feel like you've never been of one!, easy does it til you've re-learnt those skills though!
