I've noticed that most BM Boards tend to be a bit, er, high strung... I spent sometime on a NineT site last year as that seemed to be the one for me, but turns out the wait list was long... would of been game, maybe, but I just couldn't deal with the smarmy condescension...

(sorry to any who are part of that community, no insult meant to individuals, just management of the site. Its a top down thing)

Welcome Albie! This forum has proved to be a very friendly and enjoyable place to be so far, and I hope we are able to keep it that way. I've been on BMW, Ducati, Jeep, Land Cruiser, Expedition Travel, local club, etc. forums, and they almost always turn uncivil after a while, so I'm looking forward to seeing what this board is like 5 years from now. The member population will definitely grow quickly once people start seeing the Scramblers cruising next to them in traffic and wonder what the heck it is!
