About Termi ECU

I have some questions about my setup. My Scrambler 800 Icon currently has a Termignoni exhaust with the matching RACE ECU map flashed by the dealer. Honestly, I'm getting a bit tired of the Termi's sound, especially when riding through neighborhoods late at night. I'm considering switching back to the stock EVO exhaust while keeping the Termi RACE ECU program. Would this cause any issues for my bike? Specifically: 1. Could it harm the engine in the long run? 2. Might it lead to increased engine heat or worse fuel consumption? Basically - is it safe to run the RACE map with stock pipes? Any experience with this combo?

I know what you mean, it is a bit loud. I probable have the same Termignoni and the standard, very open db-killer, that did not really make a difference. After some internet search I found the db-killer for the Yamaha mt-09 for the same Termignoni db killer opening. longer and bit smaller the PLUGI-TER506 , dB-killer, Termignoni MT-09). The end is open, but I welded it closed with a washer with a 5mm hole (not easy to weld). after that it was quieter and then you can drill the hole in the end bigger till you like it, start small , like 6 mm and increase with 0.5mm. you can also drill the holes in the side bigger. Now mine sounds like a decent bike, not to quiet, not to loud. My wife has signed of on it
:)

it did not lose power, I'm told if it does lose power it is at the end, in the high revs.
