Andy and I were out riding this morning and realised that there was a police car behind us. We never speed anyway >:D, but we were especially careful as we were in a 30 limit. We stopped at a red light and the police car pulled alongside me. I then heard "excuse me" from the policewoman at the wheel. She then asked me how I was finding the bike and I told her how happy I was with it. She said that she'd been meaning to get a demo ride on one. Hopefully we'll see her on the forum one day soon :D

Nice one. A friend who has been bantering me in a not so nice way for the last 4 months about these bikes saw mine on Saturday. " May I have a H sit on it " he said. " Its great isn't it." he also said.

I was pulled over in the early 2000s on my W650 by an officer who simply wanted to see my 'Triumph.' I thought it was funny and humored him by boring him with a bunch of technical details of why I liked my Kawasaki better than the new Triumph Bonnevilles. I think he was sorry he bothered to stop me at that point once I was waxing ecstatic about bevel drive cam timing, a center stand, kick starter, pumper carbs, etc...

Then the next time I was pulled over I was on my Speed Triple, and I got to sit in the back of the car, he liked me so much.... Or not :)

They are completely arbitrary. When I drive my SL550 I drive faster than my bike but never get pulled over. On the bike they would be throwing me in Jail. I think they figure if a guy can pay for an SL550 they probably have enough $$ to pay for a good lawyer and they do not like going to court. But riding my bike they figure I am biker trash. Go Figure

I have heard many instances of police flagging people down just to ask them about their vehicle or bike. Its pretty funny, but I imagine in the moment a lot of people get some anxiety just because it is a cop. Do you think we will ever get to see a Scrambler police bike?
