Yes, Corbin made me a seat! It is more than awesome. I got off to get gas around 150 miles or so after I left Hollister and jumped off the bike like a champ! As if I had never ridden! It was UNBELIEVABLE! Riding up there on my stock classic seat, I just about died riding from San Diego to North Los Angeles. 3.5 hours with traffic. Not just not fun but amazingly painful to the extent that I could barely sleep that night in LA at my friends house. I used a 6 inch foam cushion purchased at a fabric store to cope with it. Uh huh! If you haven't felt this, well your a much stronger person than I for sure! Hats off to you.
If youve felt this pain you must get a Corbin, or at least a Cortisone shot after the ride. ;)Pardon the drama, I wouldn't have complained as I love my bike but that sucked worse than dropping a bike on the day of purchase while leaving the dealership!
My first attempt at pics located herein.
BTW, Corbin used my bike as their model on their website. I believe it is called the gunfighter or the like. I'm not too much on detail...life too short, sorry.

Liking the lines on that seat. Would love to see it on a bike that doesn't have the classic's rear fender to see how the lines flow.

Any idea how much they are charging for it? Do they need the stock seat (sacrifice) or does it come complete?

Wow! not bad. I've had three Corbin seats made, all came out good, (after dealing with some fitting issues ...) I'm sure they are good to deal with in person.
I'll have to check into this seat. Hope the other after market seat makers (La Pera) take note too.
Thanks,
Rod

Pete, how much higher is this seat than your OEM one?

Also can you take a photo from the top looking down? I'd like to see how it compares for width against the Corbin I have for my Kawasaki.

It looks great though. I'm jealous.

Me too.. I prefer no Corbin logo and no Italian flag.. But want my big bold "DUCATI" white letters on the rear, like my stock icon. Nevertheless, I think that seat is beautiful and looks comfy. From day one, I've wanted a solo seat because when i twist the throttle I nudge backward every time :)

yes, I will get a top down pic. Give me a little time. It took me a bit to figure out how to upload the photo. I am 5'7" or just under and I'd say it raised it a half inch at most. I had a triumph tiger 800xc, so I am used to tall bikes now. I can still put my feet 90% flat on the ground, as opposed to 95% with the stocker.

Looks great Pete. However, this makes the bike a solo bike only right? Based on the pics I don't think you could put another person on it. Can you confirm.
Hi moto,
Yes, it makes it a solo for sure. Someone 'could' hang on for dear life in an emergency. Def not made for 2. I couldn't even put the wolftail tail bag on with this one. Corbin had to ship it home with my duc seat! It sucked as I didn't bring a backpack and had to ride to the Hollister Target to buy one. I chose the solo however since I have the stocker dual seat already in the ultra-rare case I would ride someone a short distance.

That looks really good! I'm not a big fan of the logo and Italy colors on it, but it still looks great. I'd rock that all day.
It took me a minute or 2 to get used to the flag but it has grown on me. I does clash with the orange but now I'm like whatever about it. I may look into having the logo painted on. Not sure if itll look good with the stitching going up and down. Meh, it was free so...

How do you feel about the 'dish' at the back of the seat? Does it let you comfortably sit back and enjoy the ride, or does it curl up enough that it's dumping you forward giving you moose knuckle?

I love the angle of my Kawasaki Corbin because its like an old tractor seat or a leisurely horse saddle, but I couldn't tell from the photos if the dish is relieved enough that your butt slips back or if it's got you up in race position at all times.

Not at all. I am small enough that I only use the 'dish' if I want to. I can see if you were a 6 footer that you may be forced to use all of that space and bump up against the dish. I wasn't too thrilled when I first saw it and asked if anything else could be done about said dish. They showed me a mock up that looked a little funky with it flattened out. Reminded me of the 89 nija 600r I owned in 1991...haha

That looks great Pete! My favorite custom is the Holographic Hammer below, and your seat definitely looks similar to that one!

thanks! it does have a similarity in its shape doesn't it? I was worried though that it would look a little too café-ish. I like the café look for sure (since I cafe'd out my t100)but wasn't sure it matched the bike. Now I like it so what the ****, right? :D
