Looks like rumors of a 400cc Scrambler weren't a joke, because Motociclismo just spotted one running around the Italian countryside.
Motociclismo caught this particular prototype out for validation testing with what looks like a Monster, however it's unclear if the 400 Monster will make a comeback as well.
There are a few changes to be seen on Scramblerina. For one note the different forks, conventional vs the USD for the 800. The swing arm also went through changes, it doesn't look as shaped or as thick as big brothers. Additionally it seems the routing for the exhaust has also altered.
The engine is a 400cc air-cooled L-Twin, it's probably just been sleeved like the last time Ducati offered a 400.
That's about all we know for now, check back in 10 days from now when Ducati will unveil their full 2016 lineup at EICMA.
