2014 Ducati Scrambler Spotted On The Streets LEAKED!!! October 28, 2013

Finally, No more saturated or unfocused spy shot of the new upcoming 2014 Ducati Scrambler this one is crystal clear.

Being able to get a clear view of the components one thing that really stood out to me was the streetfighter styled headlamp. Unsure if it will carry over to production but looking at the rest of it you will notice the so called banana type swing arm. The reason for this comes down to two things, one this type of arm is known for it's sturdy construction compared to other types and two is to bring back some old school theme.

"I would like to see the round retro headlamp to go with the theme, don't you agree?"

Another you must notice is the spoked rim up front, most likely what both wheels will be going with for production unlike the tubeless in the rear.

Well, we can't leave out the engine of course. with this photo evidence it is seen with Ducati's very air cooled monster engine. However, at this point there is any offcial news of the egnine options on the boards.

What is off you might ask? If you look closely at the front the only braking components spotted is the single disc rotor and caliper Bremebo system. And of course the antler of side mirrors. If you ask me it looks this frankenstein was just put together for the basics.

In terms of price we can all agree that the Scrambler can only do well with sales if it was offered starting under $10,000. Unless, Ducati wants this modern retro production to lead the same path of the predecessor...

I love how it looks naked like this, still can't wait to see what it ends up looking like as a production model. My biggest complaint right now is the mirrors, they stick out way too much, hopefully it was just from the parts bin so they can test the bike and nothing destined for production.
so it looks like those spy shots were the Scrambler?

The front looks like an ant or bug. Not kidding. Those headlights look WEIRD and dont flow well with the rest of the design.
I like the mirrors. They are round and retro styled. The seat looks comfortable. I am expecting the exhaust to be changed to something more striking. A higher mount or a double exhaust. I can see the headlight staying the same since the Scrambler will be trying to find find a sweet spot between retro and modern styling. The riding position also looks quite comfortable.

I know what you mean. i would love to see ducati team up with an aftermarket exhaust company to come out with optional aftermarket exhaust when we place our order.
I don't think that exhaust will be like the production model.

I do like the mirrors, seats, and wheels.
But seriously.. That headlight.

yea that exhaust isn't exactly conducive to scramblin.... TBH I'm doubting we see the Scrambler at EICMA...
although that exhaust isn't exactly what an older scrambler would have it could be their way to make their new scrambler something different and unique.
Do you think that the headlight looks better from the front? You can't get a real good look at it from the angle of this photo. It weirdly looks thicker at the bottom than the top. Is that what people aren't liking about the headlight?
I actually think they will look like the FZ8 headlights from the front

Sure seems along the lines of the FZ8 design. So far it doesn't seem to be in line with anything from Ducati. Aren't there any other shots of the Scrambler test mule?
nothing more revealing no. this test mule seems pretty incomplete so hopefully there will be more changes before production.

I believe there will be a good number of changes to be done and of course colors to be added
so definitely nothing from EICMA, it was all about the high powered toys... I wonder if Duc will save the Scrambler for next year or just debut it mid year or something? It doesn't seem that high profile to merit an entire production at EICMA '14....

It could also be a bike they unveil at their own event rather than at the show. some car makers and bike makers do this.
possible. we dont really know yet. still waiting for the official word on the scrambler.

Apparently it will be unveiled at the Asian Motorcycle Show
is that the china international motorcycle trade show?
I feel like Ducati doesn't usually offer too many colors. I am guessing there will be red and white for sure. Anything else would be a bonus. Any other color you think we'll see on the Ducati Scrambler.

where did you find that out? link...
