FYI to those thinking of putting money down: I would call around if there's more than one dealer near you. I live up in the mountains, so Denver's the closest city at 150 miles away...

One dealer wanted a $1000 non-refundable deposit, the other only expected a $200 refundable deposit.

Let me guess.. Erico wanted the $1,000 and Fay Myers wanted $200

I somewhat of a relationship with Erico, so I was able to get some pretty favorable terms. However, Fay Myers seemed very reasonable to deal with. The sales manager was really cool when I called and said something to the effect of "hey you won't know if you like the bike till you see it so if you don't want it you don't have to buy it".

I live in downtown Denver about a mile away from Erico, and I know a bunch of the guys over there so I went with Erico. If I didn't care either way though, I probably would have gone with Fay Myers.

Half right

I put the deposit down at Fay Meyers (for the reasons you said), but I used to live in Fort Collins, so i called up NoCo Euro Bikes- they're smaller and more exclusive, so they need to be more sure of the sale, so no hard feelings at all. Both are reputable shops.

Ah yes forgot about them! I've never been up the Fort Collins shop, but I've seen a couple good looking bikes listed up there. When you get your bike we should plan a little Colorado Scrambler get together!

I was thinking the same thing myself! Let's definitely put a ride together, maybe by the time the bikes actually arrive, there will be some other Coloradans on the forum.

Which is why I am not going anyway near Ducati Dublin until I see a couple of reviews and the bikes are on the shop floor. Only in Ireland would you get approx 17% non refundable deposit. I would rather wait and be sure than pay a €2k deposit.
