valve clearance check

was told by local dealer that the V-C-C is every 24KM at a cost of Ä900(plus), on the new Sixty2,
But after checking the service intervals on Ducati web site, it states V-C-C every 10km, or 12 months, as seen below

Scheduled maintenance chart: operations to be carried out by the dealer
List of operations and type of interven- Km. x1000
Check and/or adjust valve clearance 10 - 20 - 30 - or 12 months.

Am i reading this right, if yes, it is way too dear to maintain, as he also said the main service is around Ä300.

I don't have any skills to maintain the bike myself, (just oil change)

Thanks in advance for any help or advice

On the 800cc Scrambler the Valve Clearance Check is every 12k km. I know because I had one done not long ago.
